The berenstain bears dollars and sense6/29/2023 On your packing slip, package components are picked and packed individually and are identified with the code "PKGCMP" in the price column. Any backordered components will ship separately as they become available. In-stock components will ship according to our normal shipping time. When you order a package, you are charged one price for all package items. Because most package items or components are also sold separately and may be components of multiple packages, these items may not have the same inventory availability at any point in time. Although packages are sets, items are not physically bundled together. Any item sold as a package on our website is identified by a unique alpha-numeric item number (such as "APH1AB"). A listing of individual items that make up a package is provided on the package item's product detail page along with real-time item availability of those items. A "package" is made up of two or more items sold as a set, often for a reduced price.

This One's Mine by Allie York6/29/2023 A few neighbors are on their porches now, enjoying the show. “You lying, cheating, sack of shit!” I grab the cute pink watering can he bought me as a housewarming gift and sling it as a car pulls up. Danny raises his hands over his head and ducks, the shoe misses by inches and lands on the perfect green grass with a thud. I love you!” And those lying words make me chuck the shoe. Or maybe they knew his girlfriend was over and didn’t tell me. Oh well, maybe they feel as betrayed as I do right now. The same neighbors who welcomed us into their little circle just a few nights ago. “Out!” I raise the match to the shoe I already threw and back him toward the front door of the condo. “It’s not what it looks like! Stop and let me explain!” “It looks like you fell and your dick landed in someone else’s vagina!” I screech and pick up the next shoe. The hardback hits him in the chest with a satisfied thunk. Danny holds his hands up to deflect the shoe but misses the fact that I also threw a book. “I HOPE you catch panty crickets and they eat your sad little dick off!” Not my most elegant insult but paired with me throwing a size thirteen shoe at his stupid head, it packs a punch.

Madame bovary audio book6/29/2023 In the end he drinks with one of her lovers proclaiming no bad feelings toward the man. Her doting husband loves and trusts her, too simple a man to suspect her betrayals. She has all the "things" she needs, but belives she is without love. On the surface you can read a tale of a "Scarlet O'Hara" in reverse, a woman with everything who longs for a perfect love in a perfect and handsome man. Ah the turn of the screw, the turn of the phrase. The 'teacher' approaches poor Emma's suffering husband for a year of "lessons" not taken. At the end all the tragic, tortured revelations, one glaring irony has a woman coming to collect a debt for Emma's lessons (lessons never taken but used as a cover up to her husband). So well written, you love and pity Emma, feel sorry for Charles and loathe the symbolic money lender for giving her the ability to do it all. Hours and hours of listening feeling like I was watching Emma coming apart and taking down the entire cast with her. Divina Porter gave so much life to Madame Bovary, and of course with no small contribution by its author, the book has a permanent position in my mental book shelf.

The Shows of London by Richard D. Altick6/29/2023 The material is fresh and fascinating the range-from freaks to popular science, from the funeral effigies at Westminster Abbey to Madame Tussaud's waxworks-impressive. At every point, the London shows are linked to the prevailing intellectual atmosphere and to trends in public taste. He also narrates for the first time the history of the panorama and diorama as an influential genre of nineteenth-century popular art. Altick traces London exhibitions as they evolved from the display of relics in pre-Reformation churches, through the collections of eighteenth-century virtuosi, to the first science museums and public art galleries. Examining hundreds of the wonderfully varied exhibitions that culminated in the Crystal Palace of 1851, this generously illustrated book sheds light on a vast and colorful expanse of English social history that has thus far remained wholly unsurveyed.ĭrawing on a wealth of never-before-used information, Mr. A berserk elephant gunned down in the heart of London, a machine for composing Latin hexameters, and the original rock band (1841)―these are but three of the sights that London curiosity–seekers from every walk of life paid to see from the Elizabethan era to the mid–Victorian period.

1 billion americans6/29/2023 So, today’s gas prices are not cheap historically. Overall, oil supply has improved, including in the United States where annual oil output is projected to hit an all-time high. GasBuddy told CNN that consumer spending on gasoline will likely plunge by $1.6 billion during the four-day weekend, compared with last year. That’s up from wintertime lows - but down by more than $1 from the year-ago average of $4.60, which was also the national average on the Friday before last Memorial Day. The national average for regular gasoline stands at $3.57 a gallon as of Friday, according to AAA. Drivers across the country will be greeted by gas prices much cheaper than a year ago. Despite rising road travel, the cost of road trips is easing. More than 37 million people are expected to hit the roads this holiday weekend, up 6% from a year ago, according to AAA. Much like the skies, the roads will be busy this Memorial Day weekend as Americans celebrate the unofficial start of summer.

Some of today's finest writers have chosen their side, creating dazzling stories about both creatures. Zombies drool and shed and probably carry diseases. Holly Black says that unicorns are healers, arbiters of justice, and, occasionally, majestic man-killers. Unicorns are sparkly and pastel and fart rainbows. Funny, grim, and terrifying, they cannot be escaped. Justine Larbalestier says that zombies are our own walking deaths.
